Eastern Sierra

We took a three day weekend, travelled through Yosemite National Park on Highway 120, through Toulumne Meadows and up and over Tioga Pass. Highway 120 meets up with Highway 395 in Lee Vining, on the shores of Mono Lake. From there, we headed north 15 miles to the top of Conway Summit, where we met up with the westbound road that takes you to the Virginia Lakes National Recreation Area. There, we camped at Trumbull Campground, elevation 8500 feet. We did take trips to Mono Lake and Twin Lakes outside of Bridgeport as well. On the way home, we travelled north on 395 through Bridgeport to the junction with Highway 108, which takes you up and over Sonora Pass and gets you back to the Gold Country on the West side of the Sierra.
